L-methylfolate is the fully methylated, body-ready form of folic acid. Supplemental folate intake contributes to normal blood formation (red blood cells) and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. During pregnancy, supplementation increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus. Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy. Folate also has an important contributory role in many other processes, including normal homocysteine metabolism, normal psychological function, the normal function of the immune system and normal amino acid synthesis, and also has a role in the process of cell division.
Directions:
Adults: take 1 tablet daily. Do not exceed the stated dose
